Michaela needs your help! On the 8th September 2007, 12 year old Michaela’s life changed when she was struck by a car which put her into a 3 month coma with a severe brain injury.
Although a claim has been made to the Road Accident Fund for the financial assistance to cover her medical expenses, this could take years to process, with no guarantee of success. With no medical aid, nor the resources to provide Michaela with the medical attention, an impending surgery & continuous rehabilitation therapies required, the family is faced with a huge financial burden.
The Michaela Marks Trust has been formed and is administered by reputable trustees & auditors. We appeal to you to contribute to the Fund to assist with the costs of the enormous medical bills, to enable her the opportunity to make a full recovery.
To describe Michaela is to say that she was powerful in spirit, popular and definitely a leader by nature. It was this strength of character that we prayed would help her survive the accident that nearly killed her.
Despite the devastating prognosis from the neurologist, through our deep faith in positive thought and our belief in Michaela’s strength of spirit, Michaela survived and since progressed out of her coma and has continued to make positive progress.
